Shawn Lewis is an American Theatre Producer, Set Designer, and Educator. Her 75+ set design credits include straight plays, musicals, operas, and films throughout the United States and abroad.

In 1997, she started teaching at the Actors Studio Drama School with her mentor, Tony Walton. For 25 years, Ms. Lewis served as the Resident Set Designer for the Actors Studio Drama School Repertory Season. In 2009, she assumed the position of Executive Director of ASDS Rep and helped produce and design 1,500+ productions.

After attending the North Carolina School of the Arts, she received a B.A. in Painting from The School of Visual Arts in New York City and an M.F.A. in Scenic Design from New York University’s Tisch School. She has taught masters-level Set Design at Yale School of Drama, University of North Carolina, and international workshops.

Ms. Lewis is a member of the League of Professional Theater Women and of United Scenic Artists. She is currently based in Brooklyn and renovating a farmhouse in upstate New York.
